Belle's Story:

Belle is a Saddlebred mare who injured her neck vertebrae. She had gotten so sore she couldn't put her head down to nibble on the grass. The vet suggested heat therapy. Working with Belle's owner, Kelly, we created a "therapy jacket". Using our extended neck or turtle neck shoulder guard, we added three large pockets on each side of the neck. The pockets allow Kelly to insert her heat packets and hold them place. Kelly tells us the therapy jacket has helped Belle immensely and she is now able to put her head down.

These sleazy horse hoods are made from body-hugging, very breathable four-way stretch polar fleece provides unrestricted freedom of movement. Since your horse deserves the best we only use the best - durable 100% Power-Stretch™ fleece direct from Malden Mills, America's premier Polar-Tec fleece manufacturer. Moisture and high relative humidity next to the skin cause discomfort. This special fleece keeps the skin dry because the fabric is highly breathable and does not restrict the movement of moisture. When the inner fabric surface touches the body it will wick off the sweat to the outside of the fleece, where it spreads rapidly for evaporation.   When the sweat reaches the outside of the fabric, it spreads out to many times its original surface area, enabling it to dry at least 2 times faster than cotton, but will not stretch out like cotton. This special fleece provides warmth without the weight and bulk of traditional insulating fabrics. Wind resistant to reduce the effect of wind chill.
