For horses that are tough on their clothes, this sleezy is made from tear and puncture resistant Spandura. Each yarn consists of Cordura fibers spun around a Lycra core. Because of this tricky blend, the resulting fabric feels soft, supple, and stretchy with none of the stiffness or boardy feeling that you might expect from a fabric made of Cordura. The spinning and weaving process make Spandura an expensive fabric for us to use but it provides a level of tear and puncture resistance not seen in stretch fabrics. Unlike regular Cordura/Lycra, Spandura just doesn't stretch a little -- it stretches a LOT. And because the Spandura we use is completely uncoated, its vapor permeability is extremely high, yet the tight weave of its air-bulked yarns renders it highly wind resistant. Spandura has a wider comfort range than any other fabric we've seen. All this adds up to a horse sleazy that is comfortable and capable of outlasting any similar horse hood you may have used before.
